Dave
Philipps is formerly the President of the Dickinson County Racing
Association at the Norway Speedway. Dave's wife Karen and their two son's Aaron
14 and Andy 10, are the support mechanisms behind Dave becoming such a successful driver. Dave
Philipps has been racing for 12 years. The first four years were in the Street
Stock Division and the last eight years in the Late Model Division. He was the Rookie of
the Year Runner Up in 1995 by less than 5 points. In 2000, after 22 races, Dave
accomplished 19 top 10 finishes including 5 wins. In 2002, after 40 races, Dave has
accomplished 4 wins, 25 top five finishes and 35 top 10 finishes. In the past two years,
Dave has raced 62 times and has compiled 54 top 10 finishes with 9 First Place finishes. Dave Philipps has raced at numerous race tracks throughout the Midwest such as Thunder Valley Raceway, and Norway Speedway, in Northern Michigan and Wisconsin International Speedway in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, and Marshfield Super Speedway in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and is currently a regular competitor at Golden Sands Speedway in Plover, Wisconsin. Dave’s racing record exemplifies the words, consistency and success. But a winning record is not the only virtue that makes Dave Philipps a solid investment for the sponsor’s dollar. Investments in drivers must also satisfy marketing criteria. Dave is a polished public relations representative in front of a television camera, radio or in a newspaper interview. After the races, you'll find that Dave is one the last drivers to leave because he always enjoys meeting and interacting with his fans. One of Dave's favorite things to do is to sign autographs while the smell of smoke and excitement is still in the air.
